Biography

Shlomo Kashani Shlomo Kashani is a visionary Chief Scientist in Generative AI, uniquely bridging the depth of scientific inquiry with the breadth of cultural fluency: qualities that define him as a natural leader. He is the author of the book Deep Learning Interviews, a comprehensive resource for AI professionals, celebrated for making complex concepts accessible to students, researchers, and practitioners. As a Kaggle Master, his technical mastery is evidenced by a Gold Medal in the AI Math Olympiad (AIMO2), a rigorous benchmark for large language models.

Shlomo’s academic foundation spans advanced signal processing at Queen Mary University of London and quantum physics at Johns Hopkins University. Currently, at Missouri State University’s Defense and Strategic Studies program, he utilizes AI for simulations to explore the moral and ethical dimensions of warfare and human extinction-level events. This fusion of science, ethics, and technology highlights his innovative leadership. His earlier career includes collaborating with leading tech organizations as a researcher and consultant, driving AI advancements across borders and sectors.

As a Chief Data Scientist, Shlomo has extensive experience building and leading AI teams, including ML engineers and scientists, achieving groundbreaking results through dedicated mentorship. He excels in large language models (LLMs) and vision-language models (VLMs) on platforms like Anthropic, OpenAI, and DeepSeek, with expertise in pre-training, fine-tuning, LoRA, multi-GPU inference, and deployment on HuggingFace and vLLM. His mastery of denoising diffusion models, stable-diffusion, and score-based diffusion models is rooted in stochastic calculus, further solidifying his technical leadership.

A passionate educator, Shlomo mentors the next generation through conference talks and workshops. His advocacy for self-publishing leverages expertise in typography, fonts, and LaTeX to craft precise, visually compelling publications. As a multilingual linguist and cultural scholar, he engages with Middle Eastern history, Cold War strategy, and classical authors like Pushkin and Rumi, informed by a deep understanding of Islamic tradition, biblical scripture, and Judeo-Christian thought, fostering respectful cross-cultural dialogue.

Shlomo is also the author of the book Tractatus Historicus, a critical examination of the historical, political, and moral foundations of modern anti-Semitism narratives. Drawing inspiration from Ludwig Wittgenstein’s Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus, this book employs a rigorous logical structure to confront myths and distortions shaping global perceptions of Hamas and Israel, untangling historical misrepresentations like medieval blood libels to modern rhetoric weaponized against Israel’s legitimacy.
